Apparently Gmail Has Caught On

My friend Jess alerted me that she read about a new feature Gmail is testing called "Got the Wrong Bob."

I would love to think this was inspired by my blog, but once I took a look at what Wrong Bob actually does I realized this would in no way help people find the right Lindsay Anderson, only the right Lindsay already in their address books. And folks, just to get things straight, there's only one Lindsay Anderson worth knowing. ME.

But this got me thinking. How could the bright minds at Google solve my little problem? One idea might be to catalog the location of Gmail users and if there is more than one user with a very similar email address, to have a screen pop-up after you hit send asking if you are meaning to send this to Lindsay Anderson in New York, NY, Chicago, IL or Washington, D.C. However, mayhem would most likely ensue if there was more than one Lindsay Anderson in a given city. Let's keep in mind there is a reason I am not smart enough to actually work at Google.

So Googlebodies, get your algorithms revving, because I am leaving this quandary to you. And you know you'll have an overenthusiastic beta tester in me. In the meantime, maybe I can seek out this Wrong Bob character and trade war stories with him.
